I can create simple and unadorned jewellery for a more discreet look, or I can add coloured thread, beads, charms and create a double braided bracelet (this works particularly well with the square braid!).  I am open to your ideas and will do my best to create exactly what you want and can even use hair from more than one horse.  

 

I will take care of your pet's hair or fur as if it were my own and I want you to be happy with the end product. Because of the individual nature of each item unfortunately you cannot order directly from this website as I will need to send you an invoice after discussing your requirements.  All items are non-refundable but I will do my utmost to ensure that I understand what you require and that you are happy with the work I am undertaking.

 

I will need clean tail hair, about a finger's width in thickness - if it is from a horse that you currently own then the hair is best taken a little from each side under the dock so it is a good length (and all one length!) and so that it doesn't show too much when you cut it!  To give you an idea of length, it needs to be about three times the length of the bracelet.  If you would prefer that I wash it then I can do so at an extra cost of £2.50.

For the resin, bookmarks and keyrings I won't need as much hair -  it needs to be about three times the length of the braided loop.  For the tassel bookmark or keyring, you can use mane hair if you do not have tail hair (tail hair is better as it tends to be thicker and less fly away) and ideally it needs to be about 4 inches in length.

When posting it, please do make sure that the hair is dry so that it doesn't go mouldy, and please fasten it with an elastic band in a loose plait so it doesn't tangle.  If it is from a horse you sadly no longer have, I would strongly advise you to send it via recorded/tracked delivery.

 

As soon as I receive the hair I inform you and if you would like any leftover hair returned then do please let me know.
